Privacy policy

Last updated: 16 September 2026

Dusty’s Warehouse (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2024/225346/07) operates dustyswarehouse.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to meet our obligations under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Who is responsible

Dusty’s Warehouse (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for the information described here.

  • Email: sales@dustyswarehouse.com
  • Phone / WhatsApp: +27 66 257 5418

What we collect, and when

When you complete the contact form, we collect the information you type into it: your name, surname, company name, email address, contact number, the province you are in, and whatever you write in the message field. The form also has an optional, unticked box asking whether we may contact you later about our services.

We only collect this because you chose to send it. There is no other form on this site, and we do not require an account.

When you visit any page, our hosting provider records standard web server logs — IP address, browser type, and which pages were requested. This happens automatically on essentially every website and is used for security and diagnosing faults.

We do not run analytics. There is no Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel or similar tracking on this site. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not track you across other websites.

Why we use it

Only to reply to you, and to carry out any work you go on to engage us for. We only contact you later about our services if you ticked that optional box, and you can withdraw that permission at any time by writing to sales@dustyswarehouse.com. We never sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Third parties who receive information

We keep this list short deliberately.

  • Google (reCAPTCHA) — technical signals from your browser when you submit the form, to stop automated spam. Google’s own privacy policy governs this data.
  • Our hosting provider — server logs, and the form submissions stored on the site, because they host the website.
  • WhatsApp (Meta) — only if you tap the WhatsApp button and choose to message us. Your conversation is then governed by WhatsApp’s own terms.

Some of these companies process data outside South Africa. POPIA permits this where the receiving country or the recipient offers comparable protection, which these providers undertake to do under their own terms.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as there is a live business reason — an open conversation, a quote, or a client relationship. Where an enquiry goes nowhere, we delete it once it is clearly stale. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will.

Your rights under POPIA

You may:

  • Ask what we hold about you, and get a copy
  • Have it corrected if it is wrong
  • Have it deleted, unless we are legally required to keep it
  • Object to how we are using it
  • Withdraw consent you previously gave

Write to sales@dustyswarehouse.com and we will respond within a reasonable period, and in any event within the timeframes POPIA requires. We will not charge you for a reasonable request.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa:

  • Website: inforegulator.org.za
  • Email: complaints.IR@justice.gov.za

Cookies

This site sets only the cookies WordPress needs to function, plus those set by Google reCAPTCHA on the contact page. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site will still work, though the contact form may not submit if reCAPTCHA is blocked.

Comments

If commenting is enabled on an article and you leave a comment, the comment text, your name and email address are stored so the comment can be displayed and replied to.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including keeping the site and its software up to date and restricting who can access it. No website can promise perfect security, and we will tell you and the Information Regulator promptly if a breach affects your information, as POPIA requires.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be made obvious rather than slipped in quietly.
